Heather L. Boyd - Trade-mark Agent

The Professional
Heather joined the firm in January 2008 after 7 ½ years with a competitor firm. Her primary focus is on trademarks, however, she has some experience with patent prosecution. Heather is a registered Trade-mark agent and practices in all aspects of trade-mark law. Heather has a particular expertise advising clients on world-wide trade-mark portfolios.

Qualifications
Registered Trade-mark Agent;
Member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), and currently serving on several of IPIC committees;
Member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and currently serving a sub-committee.

The Person
There is never a dull moment in Heather’s life. Aside from enjoying spending time with her daughter and new husband, she spends an enormous amount of personal time giving presentations on Single Malt Scotch and acting as an executive member of a Single Malt tasting club in Ottawa, volunteering as an advisor and a member of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Race Weekend, taking her sommelier certificate program, and training for and participating in a number of sporting activities including adventure racing, road running, triathlon, slo-pitch, as well as harassing her friends, family and neighbors to get into shape.
