Sandra M. Ward - Trade-mark Agent

Sandra is from Dublin, Ireland, and emigrated to Canada in 1988 when she joined our firm. Since then, she has been exclusively involved in the trademark area of practice. Sandra is a registered Trademark Agent and practices in all areas of trademark agency, including the preparation and prosecution of trade-mark applications, the provision of opinions relating to registrability of trade-marks, as well as the transfer of IP rights. She manages the international portfolios of both small and large Canadian companies. Sandra also has experience in copyright applications and process.

For the past several years, Sandra has been an active member on various committees of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), including the Online Trademark Agent Training Course Committee, the International Issues Committee (Trademarks), serving on each for a period of two years. She is currently an active member of IPIC's Joint Liaison Committee (Trademarks).

The Person
Sandra emigrated to Canada from Ireland in 1988 and remains very close to her Irish roots. She is involved in local Irish organizations, and volunteers with the Ottawa Gaels, a local Gaelic football association. Sandra enjoys all things outdoors in all seasons with her young family but can also appreciate and indulge in a quiet evening by the fire with a good book.
